Leuphyllum frutescens-Texas Sage, backed by Cigar plant-Chupea ignea
Hummingbird bush, I could use a little help with the formal name
Salvia Mystic Spires and Batfaced Chupea
Narrowleaf Zinnia- Zinnia linearis
The Big Red Sage-Salvia pentstemonoides is fading a bit , but still putting on some color. I have really enjoyed this plant and would love some advice about pruning for possibly getting some renewed blooms.
As August approaches, I suppose all of us Texas gardeners brace ourselves for the usual onslaught of blazing heat and drought. However, it is the last month of the "meteorological summer", so I try be positive. Good growing and come on, September, when it will be planting time again.
